John McGinn opened his Aston Villa account in style when his stunning volley crashed into the back of the Sheffield Wednesday net.

It is surely already on the list of goal of the season contenders.

McGinn, 23, joined the Championship club from Hibs in the summer despite strong interest from Celtic.

Sadly for the Scotland international, his stunning equaliser was as good as it got, as Villa lost 2-1 with players being booed off the pitch.
