A Cristiano Ronaldo brace saw Juventus come from behind to beat Empoli in Serie A on Saturday.
The league leaders faced a tougher test than expected against the Azzurri, who forced a close run contest.
Juve defeated Manchester United in a comfortable 1-0 Champions League victory on Tuesday and were back in action again just days later.
Francesco Caputo put Empoli ahead on 28 minutes and the home side carried that lead into half time.
However a 54th minute penalty followed by a sensational 70th minute strike from CR7 secured the three points for the Old Lady.
