Adam Lovatt: Hastings United midfielder set to join Leeds United for five-day trial

Leeds United have agreed a deal to take Adam Lovatt on trial, Hastings United have confirmed.

Lovatt, the midfielder, currently plays for the non-league outfit having risen through their academy system.

And they announced on their website that Lovatt will move to Leeds for a five-day period starting December 3.

A statement read: “Adam has generated a lot of interest from numerous clubs due to his consistent and improving performances during both the second half of the 2017/18 season and in this current season to date.

“All at the Club wish him well in his forthcoming trial and are very pleased that one of its young players has attracted the attention of a club of Leeds United’s calibre.”

Interest in Lovatt was reported to be high back in September, with a trio of Premier League clubs named as keeping tabs on him.

Crystal Palace, Brighton and Watford were reported to be chasing the talented teenager by TEAMtalk.

Nonetheless, Leeds have jumped to the front of the queue for Lovatt by bringing him to their Thorp Arch training ground for a week-long spell next month.
